KARACHI – Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) laeder Abdul Qadir Patel – one of the accused in terrorists’ facilitation case – has said that he has no fear because his hands are clean.
He said this while talking to journalists at Karachi airport after he flew into Karachi from abroad. The PPP leader arrived in Karachi from Dubai on Tuesday night after being summoned by the Rangers. Former federal minister Dr Asim Hussain, in the case pertaining to providing medical assistance to terrorists, had named Qadir Patel as an accomplice in the case.
Wondering about his involvement in Dr Asim Hussain case, he said that the Rangers summoned him on April 14, adding, “It is incumbent on all of us to share with the security agencies unrestricted information for peace.” “I will face cases. I do not know as to why my name being taken in Dr Asim Hussain case.”
“My hands are clean; hence, I am not scared of anything. I struck no deal with anyone either. I entered a single deal that is with my country and institutions,” he asserted. Patel said that he did not know about any Pak Sarzameen Party. “I had been in London. Then, I arrived in Dubai two days ago. My party does not know that I have reached Karachi.”
Asked about Dr Hussain, Patel lamented the practice of leveling allegations in politics. He claimed to have met the former minister once or twice. It is mandatory to note here that Patel is already on bail in the case.
